Found the Lord of the Rings collecting dust in my attic.
Lots of purple prose in it.

I recently got started on this: It's a collection of short stories written by H.P Lovecraft. He's got a really eerie style of writing, and his stories often depict imagery or sensory that defies logical perception. If you want to get into his works, his short story collections are the way to go (even though the collections were published without Lovecraft's intent).

I read how to train your dragon, it feels really different from the movie especially toothless.

Mortal Engines was amazing, Prime.
Some other good books:
Anything by Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child. They write great modern adventure/mysteries. House of Hades. I could not stop reading. Sherlock Holmes. The originals. Absolutely great. But does anyone know what a late 19th century four-wheeler looks like?

I read House of Hades and Sherlock Holmes.
I didn't read the first one, though.
Gotta check it out.

Check out Relic and Cabinet of Curiosities. The Pendergast novels are really great.
