Basically, a thread to post what you would like to see in Raze 3. Be it weapons, characters, maps, abilities, and more. Since this is not the official forums, it's more of a speculation thread instead of a suggestion thread.
A while back, I made this little bundle of ideas:
Sergeant Sledge's Space War Pack (I suck at giving names)
Contains:
-1 game mechanic
-2 maps
-2 guns
-1 equipment (assuming Raze 3 is using Raze 2's system) or Armor (assuming Raze 3 is using SFH2's system)
-1 song
Events
In a level, certain events may happen. For example, ship based maps may explode into two pieces when the game tilts in the favor of one side, or an orbital strike happens as you capture an objective
Ambush
Fight against alien boarders in deep space on a Human destroyer desperately holding its ground. Will you escape before enemy fire tears your ship apart?
Events:
- Enemy boarding crafts land on the destroyer every time 5 alien players die, delaying their respawn.
- The ship breaks into two or more pieces when it sustains too much damage, depending on the difficulty.
- If there is a hole in the ship, and the damage is not enough to completely implode the ship, anyone close to it will be sucked out.
Endgame:
- Human: The humans evacuate the ship as they detonate hidden charges in the ship's engines, taking down the aliens around and inside it.
- Alien: The aliens' flagship arrive, and destroy the human destroyer with a massive beam, killing all still onboard it.
Under Siege
A massive alien ship looms over the human capital as it glasses the city below. Hold back hordes of alien soldiers and zombies on the ground and prepare to destroy the ship from the inside out.
Events:
- The alien ship fires a plasma beam at several intervals. Intensifies once you capture the flag/capture a point.
- If the game is on the humans' favor, the ship will be hijacked using their own teleportation grid.
- If the game is on the aliens' favor, the aliens start spawning on the ground.
- Side Goals: Either destroy or establish a teleporter grid. If either happens, one of the above events will occur.
The Coilgun
Type: Long Range
Magazine Size: 2 charges
Damage: 80 body shot, 120 on headshots. 88 body shot, 128 on headshots in vacuum
Special: Headshots+.
Our answer to the Aliens' Holy Grail, this prototype is just as powerful, and we're phasing out the railgun in favor of this.
Notes:
-Is slightly more powerful in vacuum
-2 second delay between firing
-Does not eject a shell after firing (It's caseless)
-In-game lore: Uses depleted uranium rounds
-Ammo picked up is just 1 magazine
Utilizing magnetic coils capable of accelerating a bullet a 10th of the speed of light, the Coilgun is the latest in anti-armor technology, specifically designed to penetrate the standard material used by the Aliens.
The Marksman
Type: Starter/Sidearm (I consider the two to be close enough to be the same category)
Magazine Size: 8 Charges
Damage: 25 bodyshot, 50 on headshot. 30 body shot, 55 on headshots in vacuum.
Special: Headshot ++
This prototype handgun uses the same technology used in the coilgun combined with normal firing mechanisms, and is powerful for a weapon its size.
Notes:
-Is slightly more powerful in vacuum
-1 second delay between rounds
-Accuracy is perfect
-Does not eject a shell
-Ammo picked up is just 1 magazine
The perfect sidearm for snipers, the Marksman combines power and accuracy to quickly finish off enemies at close range.
The Hazard Suit
One of our older technologies, the Hazard Suit is an all around combat armor that protects it's users from vacuum, acid, and fire all in one.
Rose at Twilight
The default theme for Ambush or Under Siege
Strings Unbound
(Yes, I'm fully aware it has a pony on the video image. It has nothing to do with ponies, as it's an orchestral piece)
Note on the Hazard Suit:
-Reduces damage from vacuum from 5 health per second to 2 health per second
-Reduces damage from acid from 4 health per second to 1 health per second
-Wearer cannot be ignited
-(Assuming Raze 3 uses SFH2's mechanics) Provides 40 armor
Subject to change.
Now remember, this is just something I'd like to see in Raze 3. While the maps and guns may not be added, I really hope they add events into the official maps.
